About us
We formed our practice based on our mutual desire and commitment to assist people in reclaiming their lives after the loss of a loved one. We have a clear and practiced understanding of how complicated or prolonged grief negatively impacts a person’s natural ability to mourn their loss effectively. Treating the syndrome of prolonged grief has become the main focus of our work.
We were trained by a leading expert and researcher in the field of complicated grief, Dr. Katherine Shear. Since we became complicated grief therapists and worked on two studies funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, we have repeatedly witnessed the healing power and possibility that this treatment experience may offer a person suffering from Complicated Grief. This is why we do this work today.
The four of us work collaboratively in our practice; we maintain our clinical skills both through treatment and teaching. We currently conduct workshops for the Center for Prolonged Grief.
If you would like to meet with one of us please contact the therapist of your choice to set up an appointment.
