I believe in using tools that work and have trained with an expert in the field to learn this treatment for complicated grief, also known as Prolonged or Traumatic Grief or Persistent Complex Bereavement Disorder. My overarching therapeutic philosophy is cognitive-behavioral, which means I like to focus on specific problems and work on them together. I view myself as a guide, someone you would partner with to navigate a difficult terrain. In addition to private practice, I continue to be involved in research at Columbia University.
